85k - 100k - also, any buyers outside of the approved sales areas are going to be charged 10k for a service contract or something along those lines. Even though these are pretty fucking expensive, I think they're on to something here... all new technology usually comes at a premium, and eventually demand will drive down the costs and the price. From what I've read, they're planning to start developing a more commercial vehicle option in about 3 years time, depending on how well the sales are for these cars.

At 250 mi range, and 0-60 in 4 second speeds, plus all the gorgeous interior and exterior designing courtesy of Lotus Group, this car should have tons of appeal to the eco-friendly exotic car enthusiast. I kinda see these cars as investments into the future of not only Tesla Motors, but also in EV's in general. Hell if I had the money I'd be the first person in Texas to get one.

I was driving outside of Aspen (glitter gulch as I say it), LATE one night and was doing 65 on the highway out of town. I got passed by a F-50 and the old Buggati EB110 racing at about 160mph. All I saw was lights in my mirror then all of a sudden they were zipping past (it was so loud when they were right next to me that I couldn't hear the radio) and then they were gone around a corner. This was probably like 6 or 7 years ago though. You actually don't see many super cars up there, Merc G500 and Black Escillades are a dime a dozen though. The sweetest car I've ever seen was a pre1950's Porsche 911 that was completely restored, baby blue, sweetness. The blonde driving it ground off a pound of clutch as she took off from the light though. Made me cry.

True story.
