I would like to create a grid on one of my images but I just can't get it to look right.
Could somebody please tell me if there is a way to do this. Argghh....I know it should be easy but...any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mymac
PS. Please tell me this is posted in the right forum.

Questions that have specific topics go into the appropriate forums.
If you have a design question post it in design.
If you have a Flash question post it in Flash
If you have a PHP or Programming question post it in Back End
If you have a question that has to do with how the forums operate then post it in the FAQ.

Okay..thanks for the tips but I only have Photoshop. No other software.
Actually, in one of Isaac Epp's (Sonus) volley's in Mark's book...he sets up a great grid. That's what I wanted to do but can't get all the squares in the grid to come out correctly (i.e. same size).

i'm sorry I don't have time to post a better response or tutorial, but if it is something you want to add as a lyered element... try using a pattern. if you create a single rectangle of the size and line thickness you want for the grid, go in with the rectangular marquee selection tool and make a selection that simply includes two sides and the center of the rectangle.
go to the menu and choose Edit > Define pattern [you will name and save it in the new pattern dialog]... then create a layer or selection and Choose Edit > Fill select Pattern and navigate the dialog to pick your new pattern.... the fill should make you a grid pattern...
there should be a tutorial on this somewhere 'round here if i'm not mistaken

or go to excel, set the column widths and heights how you like, do a screen grab, and paste that into a new layer.

ps7-> goto view/show and click grid so that it shows on your canvas, also in view goto snap and click snap to grid. adjust the grid in edit/preferences/guides, grid & slices.
grab the line tool, make sure it is set to fill pixels in the tool bar on top(to the left you have 3 options). set your line weigth and start to draw your grid with the actual grid as a guide. it should snap to the lines automatically but to help a little hold down shift (pc anyway, dunno about mac) while you draw.
if you want to have a permanent grid at hand do what walt said.

Still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be.

If Walt's description seems to be what you're after, I wrote a mini-tutorial on pattern fills here:
