Welcome to the Thunderdome.
The basic idea behind Thunderdome is to provide a forum for people to collaborate on photoshop tennis and variants on it. Photoshop tennis, as first introduced by www.coudal.com has evolved from well-known designers competing according to strict rules with each volley judged into a more freestyle, open-access approach.
The general idea is that one person posts an image, and someone else posts a response based on that image and so on, until a series of volleys has been completed to the mutual satisaction of the parties involved.
You can establish how many volleys will be made, time limits, a theme, or anything else you would like to try out. Some popular variations in the past have been mural-style volleys, three-way collaborations (or more), team-based matches, a series of volleys than piece together to form a printable 3D form, posters, vector-based images, 3D based images, multimedia volleys, et cetera.
If a match is already in progress, please don't join in without being invited, or unless one or more of the participants says it's OK - if you want to start a new match based on someone else's image feel free to do so (acknowledging the original person's work and the inspiration thread). Open matches are welcome, though, so if you want to create a thread where everyone who feels like it can create images according to a theme or based on a specific image, just say so when you post the starter image and start the thread.
Have fun!
