FlamingoJeff Getcher Schadenfreude

While I was pricing mobos at the local geek garage I saw a used Sony that looked pretty good:

p IV 3400
250G HDD
DVD-R
1G DDR
ATI Radeonx600 (256MB)
Fancy sound system

All for $749.

I hesitated, went home, said hello and told Ms. F that I was going back out to buy it. Didn't even change out of grownup work clothes.

When I got there, the couple who had walked in when I first left was just signing their credit card slip.

Bastards.

And it's one, two, three, what are we fightin' for?

That was a good deal. Oh well.

You should have hidden behind their car and murdered them.

I got my Dell like a couple of months ago,
had the speakers in the box under my desk till last saturday
hooked up the subwoofer and two small speakers
OMG

I am [officially] glad they threw in the useless upgrade smile

I love hearing that there is standing room only on the train as I sit in first class with four seats and a table to myself.

If you refuse that right you will be audited, tasered, and imprisoned

I didn't see the original date, so at first I was like huh? But then I saw the date and I was like oh.

Sounds like my desktop... AMD 3400, first mobo with the PCI Express dual-video card option, nForce chipset, dual 150gb sata drives. Recently the onboard audio went out, spent over 50 hours trying to fix the damn thing. Finally got it stable, and grabbed a new audio card today and now she's back to awesome.

Next paycheck, I think I'm getting me a system upgrade.

oof OBEY MAH SIGNATURE oof
ok, now bring me boobies.

Something like this would be a huge upgrade for me, for about $550, which I should be able to afford at the end of this month. Been a long time since I was able to consider spending that much on anything.
