easiest is IMHO
imageshack.us
1) upload picture
2) copy the code in the "direct link to image" box
3) in your post, click on the "IMG" button
4) paste code
5) Voila

Ok Im a little slow I admit. Upload picture to where? Copy what code and where is the "direct link to image" box.

Cant be slower than me man, ask arigato...
1) imageshack.us Go there...
2) the upload form should be the page you see. find the browse button (next to the empty text box) click on it. select the picture you want to upload from your computer.
3) click the "host it!" button... this may take a sec depending on connection, picture size, etc...
4) the next page you see will be a page with about 6 text fields with code/image links in them. scroll down (might be the last or next to last one) find the one that says "direct link to image"
5) copy everything in the textbox next to it. youre done with imageshack so you can close it.
6) back on the forums, go to where youre posting and above the box you can type in there are a bunch of buttons ( B, I, Quote, Code, IMG, URL, x, X)
7) click on the IMG button. a box should appear asking for an address to the image (the one you just copied) paste it in the box and click ok. It will automatically put it in your post. hit the "preview post" button to make sure it worked. if it did, make post.
if this didnt help, I'll come back with screenshots

Was I supposed to resize it? THe image is 800 x 600 @ 300 dpi. I uploaded something dont know if it worked.

That's a bit big mate
for posting to the web keep in mind that everything displays at ~72dpi and you should post images at max 800x600, usually smaller. it's ok to link to larger images but embedding them in a page is a bit rough on people with slower modems
Look at the other posts in the Thunder Dome and see how people generally post smaller images and then a link underneath to a larger version

btw, when Stinky says big he doesn't just mean 800x600 is big but that the file size is big because @300dpi it makes for a large file size.
