If you want to get up to speed on PV3D, noticed there is some training mentioned on the mailing list in Amsterdam 450 euros with Ralph Hauwert.

also.. FITC Amsterdam is going to rock and there will be some solid PV3D and Red5 sessions as well.

FITC when's that I know FOTB is not so far away I am yet to go to one of these things they have always seemed so expensive, but since I can write them off as a company holiday it is sounding like more of an idea. Trouble is I am not doing flash at mo and not sure I will get time off from contract, but I am sorely tempted to get my as3 up to speed and go on the pv one, but can you really learn much in such short time?

I booked for the papervision course, never been on a flash course before, and never been to Amdam before - kind of scary!

sweet... just remember that you after entering into the country you now have to wait three days before you can purchase magic mushrooms... so make sure to get there early. Am curious to see how the sessions go.... teaching is an absolute bitch so could only imagine how difficult it would be to teach something like PV.

once I help a friend find mushrooms in my 6 form, I couldn't see the difference between the poison ones, never tried them, booked to get there saturday, so I guess I could try them wednesday after all that intense 3d. Not sure how the papervision mailing list would respond if I posted "Are u going on the pv amdam and want to get stoned laid and thoroughly drunk before the course" but I am not sure how I would fair doing the redlight on my own, but I hear the is more to it than stag dos.

I'm in amsterdam on the 8th, and speaking at an adobe event on the 9th (I head home earlyish).... I'm probably working on the presentation on the evening of the 8th, but if by some miracle I'm done and you're up for a joint (or a beer) we could meet up... I'd much rather be doing the PV training than my thing

I get there saturday afternoon and leave wednesday evening, I have not booked a place to stay do you have suggestions, I am just lazy at sorting it, prob get a rough guide tomorrow.

8th sounds good might need to fit with the papervision lot, I have no idea how these courses go but I am going to put everything as expenses and treat it as a learning hol.

Sakri, sounds like a fun couple of sessions. I don't envy your situation... traning sessions are a bitch to write and run. Best of luck.

Ment to upload the picture of our meet last night but was too lazy to hook the mobile up with the mac and slept most of the evening.

How did the rest of the course go?

My presentations went ok'ish... I got away with very little preparation, oddly, the dutch crowd was much more into my jokes, asked questions and wanted to chat, whereas my homecrowd in brussels was silent?!

It's my dads 60th birthday on the 26th so it's a nogo by default, but damn, I would love to meet up with the mighty arsis...

what are you doing in amsterdam?

stopping over on my way to Bath for a meeting to lock in a couple of projects. If all goes well I'll probably be making a couple more trips over the next few months and will probably spend a little more time in the Dam.

ya cool. I'm staying at the RealWorld studios from Monday 22nd thru Thursday 25th. I don't know where that is in context to the pic nor will have my own transport but am definately keen to try and wing it for a beer or two.
