How can I upload a bunch of photos into a group that only show up as a group and not as part of MyPhotos, which are all just in upload-date order?
click organize at the top -> drag any photos you want added to a group into the center box -> click add to set at the top.
that seems to ad them to a group but not isolate them in the group. For instance, I'd like to have one or two pots from flowers, one or two from taliesen, etc on my main page, with all of the other photos displayed just in the group photos.
I don't think it lets you do that - I think all your photos get added to your stream, which is what's shown on your main page.
It doesn't let you do that. You can't even reorganize them in your stream, just in your sets.

That sucks. For $2/month I should be able to rearrange my stream.
