You can import your collada 3d model into cs3 photoshop and edit the materials as a bitmap and then update and view the 3d model in cs3 photoshop(even rotate it etc) then export the modified material for use in your papervision projects, saves up for cs3 suite.

Import Video Frames to Layers perhaps?
I posted a comment in the Design forum regarding Photoshop which was very much along the same line of thought

the Adobe Media Gallery , specifically, came up for me out of a discussion folks were having on an Adobe forum regarding the development of both the functionality of Adobe's Bridge application and the Adobe Media Gallery (AMG) plugin for Bridge.
as you well know, with both my personal background and specializing in just the 7use of Photoshop as much as possible—trying to keep up with all the functionality and additions to Photoshop as I have completed three full development cycles working as a thechnical editor on book projects...
it just blows me away that every time I log on to a Photoshop forum or conversation, I not only learn something new, I learn that there's stuff that is way new and way complicated
another for instance...
anyone using the Image > Variables and Imported Data Sets ?
mclarkson 2007.12.03, 08:43PM —
I haven't touched that stuff since I had to write about it for a book.
Walt 2007.12.03, 10:23PM —
exactly.... and my last book was on Photoshop for Print
and even then, the author didn't even touch on Variables and imported Data Sets
quite cool stuff though

I can see that it might be cool for someone like you, for example, who deals with catalogs. But I just have never had a use for it.
