I ended up using the Pen Tool in Photoshop and recreating all the paths/vectors...

just to let you in on the project,

I am working on updating our Line-Card, 163 of our manufacturors are represented in Logo form
this one [that I am presently completing] is for an 8.375 x 10.875 catalogue page... but then I also have to update a 12-foot tall version for our Tradeshow Booth graphic where the Logos appear 8 inches wide [hence the need for quality logos]

generally I can find a PDF in which the MFG has used a vector logo... some, like the one I just did have used shitty rasterized versions in their own publications


now I get to nudge all the little buggers around to make them look liek they were placed with care
