Napalm Conditional Scripting in PS CS3

Does anyone have a conditional script for PS CS3? All I need is a specific action to run if the image is portrait and another to run if the image is landscape.

Please don't make me resize 8 gigs of photos by hand.

I take it constrain would not be appropriate for this exercise?

personally, I have faced this challenge a couple of different ways

but, I am a code-challenged individual... scripting is something my brain just fights

the first Action I wrote to solve this dilema would take all my images, copy the background layer, rotate the copy, then select Reveal All... giving me all Square images regardless of orientation... that worked for me. simple and fast.

[the actual Action did quite a bit more, relying on a Clipping Path of the same name in each image for purposes of making selections, cropping resizing etc

here's a place you might find serious help:

I know the Adobe Forums should be a place to look, but I find them difficult to sift through

sorting in Bridge would be my next choice
but, I know that Bridge CS3 is suck-ass slow and unuseable for large folders of images
sad to say, I know the fix is on the way... but nevertheless, as much as I like Bridge, Bridge CS3 is almost worthless because of its inability to handle folders with more than a few dozen images.
