for a data-gathering kiosk project, i'm weighing the pros and cons of zinc vs. air and open to any further suggestions.
while i think it'd be beneficial to have an open discussion about the general advantages and differences (yeah i searched here and didn't find one) my needs are for porting a site (AS 1.0) over (yes i know i'd have to rewrite it in as3.0 and kind of look forward to it).
the kiosk will basically need to collect email addresses and names, to be uploaded later (kiosk is off-line, hence the need..) and do some graphicy stuff.
thought?
thanks!

i'd look over the features of each, compared with the features you need.
Zinc has more features, but if you can do everything you need in AIR, I'd go with AIR. if yu need something that zinc has and AIR doesn't, then go to AIR.

thanks.
yeah - i'm much more interested in learning AIR so decided to go with it.
if i 'get real good' at it i'll post some goodies here.

so...
i did it with AIR and it works great!
...on a mac. out 'totally cross platform solution' sh*ts the bed on a PC.
more specifically, editable textFields (and 'textAreas') - not so editable anymore on a PC.
are there any airheads out there who may be able to offer a solution?
(aside from forcing my client onto a mac, which i'd like to do)
