aeriadne Flash Projector for Mac Not Opening

Hello!

Hopefully this has not already been answered, but I've been searching everywhere (and here) with no luck.

I'm trying to make a Flash 8 projector app and exe to burn onto a DVD along with all the accompanying xml and jpeg files. The exe works just fine on a PC, but the app doesn't open at all, either on my Mac or two others (of different makes) I've tried. If I double-click to launch it, the player opens, but no file does. If I try to open it via the file-->open route, the file is greyed out. I don't know if this provides more clues or not, but I'm using a SlideShowPro plugin, which only works with Flash 7 or 8 apparently, and the current player I'm using is Flash 9. I've tried publishing other files without using SlideShowPro, and none of those work as Mac Flash projectors either. The app projectors did work at one point, long ago when I had first installed the program.

Any advice anyone could give, short of reinstalling? Or should that do it? Barring that, could anyone recommend projector packaging software that would fix this?

Many, many thanks in advance for your help!

Are you burning dual CD on a mac?

I haven't burned a thing yet - the projector file won't open period. It won't open from my desktop or, when on another Mac, from my flashdrive. The swf opens just fine on a variety of Macs, and the exe file does the same on any number of PCs, but the app file just won't open at all. But my ultimate goal, yes, will be to make a dual DVD that will be playable on a Mac or a PC.

My suggestion would be get Zinc and Toast and burn on a Mac, but I have never used SlideShowPro.

If you are on a budget get the free flex 3 sdk and create an air app, (there are bundles for textmate and some online blog info) and I think licencing for the air player has recently changed, but an exe/app offers your swf more protection and I have no idea how easy the air work flow is. Sorry not to be more help.

No idea about dvd only used cd.

a data dvd compatible for mac and pc should be fine with toast when you get there. otherwise, i'm clueless.
