ok, so i've been conned into doing some flash work for the first time in forever. when did they start with this annoying panel fading in and out crap? please tell me there is a way to turn this off. i didn't see anything in the prefs?

oh and this is the mac version if that makes a difference.

I'm still on Studio 8 on the Mac! hahahaha

I only have CS3 on my PC so I'm of no help. Sorry.

panel fading in and out crap?

??? My panels have about 1/4 second fade in/out but I rarely need to change my panel layout. I don't see what is annoying about it. Perhaps your install is doing stuff others don't see?

when flash loses focus the actions/help panels and those type of things fade out and disappear. and the reverse when i go back to flash.

my machine may just be slow but it's kind of jerky and almost hangs for a second every time.

i finally just put my big boy pants on and started using a text editor for my action script... but still, it's pretty annoying.

I got no fade, I'm on a PC.

But what really pisses me off in the ui is a bug where if you Test Movie and between hitting CTRL-Enter and the thing actually starting to switch to check email or whatever, when you come back to Flash the panels are fucked up and you're forced to restart CS3. I keep falling for it too

Yuck... Yah, my install does that to but it doesn't hang. Maybe there is a tweak on the OS side of things? otherwise I have no idea how to get rid of it.
