Perhaps of interest:

I found 04BitmpaDraw/bitmapdraw_08.fla particularly enchanting.

I have to say that I was a little disappointed by the code he has chosen to expose. Very little of it offers anything new and none of it gives any real insight into any of his other work. Nice work but I suspect he released it because it doesn't contain any worthy IP or is tied into something he published a year or two ago. Just sayin
Well, yeah, but it's still interesting to see the progression conceptually.
Since he's still using his generative work for illustration gigs & art prints one can hardly expect him to give away all his tools.
I wasn't expecting him to give away all his tools but did hope he was offering something of a little more substance. There are a ton of Flash books and source code that illustrate conceptual progress some of which is similar to this release. I just can't help but think that even a modicum of new/unique IP let loose on the public would be rewarding from all perspectives.
*edit* I think I'm a little pissed of that the good old days of publishing source have passed and that practitioners are keeping source close in order to maximize revenue. I'm also pissed that I don't have enough time to make and release my own because I know I could (as Natzke could) release something a lot more inspirational and innovative.
I see a lot of opensource code released, eg haxe and 3d/physics/particle/tween engines and examples etc.. Have the types of innovation changed or do you really think it has reduced? I would be interested in any links you feel are really worthy of seeing, I probably missed them all.
Interesting point.
I think it's more that developers are open sourcing larger scale projects where there is potential to develop an ongoing revenue stream (Red5/InfraRed5 for example). What has reduced is the number of Flash 'experimenters' releasing their discoveries.

...are all examples of veteran Flashers who no longer produce a lot of experimental work and/or have stopped releasing source for their experiments.
For the most part I think it is due to a coming of age for both the tech and the early adopters.

I disagree things have become in someways more interesting, well for one I am now more able to take part, and many flashers have moved into other areas and pushing new fields eg: persist and bit, and flash now has amazing 3D powers. But the most exciting thing to me is flash abstracting from a dependence on the flash player or a commercial entity while still promoting strong ties, this takes the idea of flash sharing to a new level, I am of course talking about haXe. HaXe seems to be taking leaps and bounds, see these recent links to get a feel for some of the stuff I have seen in the last week, most of it compleatly opensource
img172.imageshack.us/img172/7303/screenshotadobeflashpla.png (haxegui on googlecode, early mxml for haxe uses XML/hscript templates)

And if more designer types started using it that would be more exciting. Its like flash has broken out of its box or maybe I am!
Apparently Away svn is now also haXe too!
