Weird thing is, it happens even when RoutingService.getRoute() is completely empty. Any ideas?

Think I got it: It has to do with the fact that elsewhere in the class I set the default XML namespace. Resetting at the end of the method seems to have taken care of it.

Weird thing is, the method in which the namespace is set - and then reset - is never even called.
