I was checking my stats today and if i find a link which i don't really know i check it out.
So i clicked this link and it went to a site full of pics with nude kids in sexposses and i saw one with a kid having a dick in his ass, didn't click further to see what's more on there. It was a site from Chile

So should i report it or what and to whom you report such a thing? I also have the IP of the visitor from that website.

call the cops from a pay phone and tell them the url?

And clean the fuck out of your hard drive.

Reporting it is definitely the right thing to do, but it's like turning in a gun you might find on the street.

You'll be questioned about how you got it, where you were, etc etc etc...

Try to find a way to report it, while distancing yourself as far as you can from it.

My stats check from where you are coming (searchengine, website,....) and one of them came from that site. Dunno why it did, probably used the google bar or his favorites from that site.

I reported the site to the hosting company, maybe they do something with it. That part of the site seemed as a directory on a bigger site totally not related to something like this.

Why would you need to clear cache, server and what not. Don't it look more suspicious to the police in case they did do an investigation, that you looked like you was hiding something.

I would simply call the police or IT crime unit if you have one of those and tell them the truth, that you stumbled over this link while browsing your stats for your websites.

The simpler solution is often the best.

Not going to inform the police here and get myself in a lot of problems, those lazy slackers won't do anything.

I guess its different in other parts of the world. But if I went to the police here in Denmark and said that I had discovered kiddie porn via a link on my website. I'm 99% that they would just thank me.

Fair enough, I'm 99% sure that here my computer would be seized and I'd get charged with having child porn on it, and the other guy, being in Chile, wold just get added to a list - if anything.

Nah in the UK they probably wouldn't even bother to investigate it. Infact they would probably only pretend to write it down..

I would suspect pretty much the same reaction in Australia. I've reported cyber crime in the past and I am 99% sure that the (relevant federal) police department just went through the process so that I could have a report ID and feel as though something was being done about it.
